Hemp Seed Butter and Dog Pills

For anyone who has to give their best four-legged friend a pill every day knows how hard  it can be. We have an elderly Rotweiler named Lola who has to take several pills every day and refuses to let anyone shove them down her throat. We used to spread peanut-butter-covered pills on a cracker for her but worried that the high sugar content in peanut butter would make Lola gain weight and stress the old girl’s  joints.  On a whim one day,  I took a small piece of an organic-flour tortilla, spread some Hippie Hemp Seed Butter on it,  added Lola’s pills in the center and rolled it up like a burrito. She smelled her “canine canape,” scarfed it down in one bite and looked expectantly at me for more.  I’m pretty sure she didn’t know that her yucky pills were hidden in the middle.

We also like to make our own healthy dog treats using Hippie Butter Hemp Seed Flour, Hippie Butter Hemp Seed Oil  and organic peanut butter for an extra special treat our dogs absolutely love.
